3-Tier Industrial Pipe Wall Shelf

This three-tier wall rack is built from authentic steel plumbing pipe and malleable cast iron fittings, not tube shaped to look like it. That distinction is what gives the frame its weight, its slightly uneven patina and the genuine vintage character that decorative lookalikes never quite manage. Mounted on a bare wall it reads as industrial farmhouse, but it sits just as comfortably in Victorian vintage, rustic, retro and stripped-back modern rooms.

The assembled frame stands 35 inches high and accepts shelf boards up to 11.25 inches deep, letting you choose timber that matches existing furniture. Shelves are not included, which is deliberate: it keeps the frame adaptable to reclaimed boards, planed pine or hardwood. Bracket spacing should be set to line up with your wall studs so the rack carries its load through solid timber rather than plasterboard alone.

All pipe and fittings arrive coated in a light industrial grease that prevents rust in transit. Clean each piece before assembly, then seal with a polyurethane spray to protect against rust and scratches; final colour varies from dark grey to black by fitting. Because every bracket is made of separate threaded components, a damaged fitting can be swapped out on its own instead of replacing the whole rack.
